Refer Original Doc to Duplicated Doc?

Duplicate. One word. One click that saves us lots of time, manual effort, and potential errors. Thanks to these advantages this functionality is commonly used and multiple documents are created everyday simply by duplicating other documents that were created earlier. Can you tell which is the original and which is a duplicate? And what if you need to know? In order to keep track which document was created by duplicating another document, SAP Business One enables you to set a reference to the original document when creating a duplicate:

When clicking the “Duplicate” option in the context menu or the Data menu, the above message appears, enabling you to decide whether to create the reference. If your business follows a regular policy on that matter, you can select the checkbox “Remember My Answer and Do Not Show Again” in order to skip this message in the future.

If you confirm the message, the original document is automatically set as a referenced document in the “Accounting Tab”:

This option is supported in Sales and Purchasing documents as well as in Inventory documents (Goods Issue, Inventory Transfers and Inventory Transfer Request), Production Order, Inventory Counting, and Inventory Posting.
